Christian counseling

Faith-based counseling from a therapist who partners with your church

Joe is a Christian therapist who brings Scripture, prayer and a biblical view of identity together with proven clinical care, for teens, young adults and families across Middle Tennessee.

What faith-based counseling looks like

Faith-based doesn't mean less clinical. Teens get the same evidence-based tools for anxiety, depression and pressure, with faith woven in where it helps:

  • Scripture and prayer in sessions when your family wants them
  • Identity rooted in who God says they are, not their grades or stats
  • Grace instead of shame for teens who feel they've failed
  • Honest space for doubts and hard questions

A background in ministry

Joe and his wife served in youth ministry together for 15 years. He wrote More Than OK, a faith-based anxiety and depression workbook curriculum used with teens at Saddleback Church and other congregations. He understands church culture, student ministry and the pressure Christian teens feel to look like they have it together.

Partnering with local churches

Joe works alongside churches and youth ministries across Franklin, Brentwood and Nashville. Pastors and youth leaders refer students and families to him, and he serves as a clinical resource when a ministry is caring for a teen who is struggling.

Pastors and youth leaders: call or text Joe at (949) 292-7833 to talk about referrals or ask about speaking to your student ministry or parent groups.

Families of every background are welcome

Many families choose Joe because of his faith. Families who aren't religious receive the same care and respect, and faith is never pushed on anyone.
