High expectations, high pressure
Brentwood's schools and athletic programs are among the best in the state. That's a big reason families move here. It also means many teens feel they have to be excellent at everything, all the time. Perfectionism, anxiety, burnout and quiet depression are common, even in kids who look like they're thriving.
Elite athletics, real pressure
Between powerhouse high school programs, club volleyball, travel baseball and showcase circuits, Brentwood athletes compete at a high level young. Joe has worked with NFL, NCAA and professional athletes and coached at a nationally ranked high school baseball program. He helps athletes handle pressure, bounce back from mistakes and keep loving the game.
How it works for busy families
No driving across Concord Road or Franklin Road at rush hour. Evening sessions fit between practice and homework, and teens can text Joe between sessions when they need support.
Joe works with students from Brentwood High, Ravenwood, Brentwood Academy and other public and private schools in the area.
How Joe helps Brentwood families
Every session is one-on-one by secure video, 45 to 50 minutes, with unlimited texting between sessions and parent check-ins whenever they're needed. Joe brings more than 20 years of experience, a decade as a psychology professor, 15 years in youth ministry and work with NFL, NCAA and professional athletes.
Questions from Brentwood parents
My Brentwood teen is doing well in school. Could they still need counseling?

Do you offer Christian counseling in Brentwood?
